Make Windows Great Again!

1. Install PowerToys

• Download From here.

2. Install Windows terminal

• Download From here.

3. Install WSL2

• install WSL2 in PowerShell

  # install wsl2
  $ wsl --install
  
  # To List Available WSL Linux Distros
  $ wsl --list --online
  
  # install Ubuntu 20.04
  $ wsl --install -d Ubuntu-20.04

  • Changing starting directory to "/home/[username]"

• apt update

  $ sudo apt update

• Install zsh

  $ sudo apt install zsh

• Install oh-my-zsh

• nameserver setting

  $ sudo rm /etc/resolv.conf
  $ sudo bash -c 'echo "nameserver 1.1.1.1" > /etc/resolv.conf'
  $ sudo bash -c 'echo "nameserver 8.8.8.8" > /etc/resolv.conf'
  $ sudo bash -c 'echo "nameserver 8.8.4.4" > /etc/resolv.conf'
  $ sudo bash -c 'echo "[network]" > /etc/wsl.conf'
  $ sudo bash -c 'echo "generateResolvConf = false" >> /etc/wsl.conf'
  $ sudo chattr +i /etc/resolv.conf

• install [email protected] (local)

  # install [email protected] from brew
  $ brew install [email protected]
  
  # add PATH
  $ echo 'export PATH="/home/linuxbrew/.linuxbrew/opt/[email protected]/bin:$PATH"' >> ~/.zshrc
  
  $ mysql_secure_installation
