The Digitizing Bach applet was created for the MAPLE Lab, McMaster University.
Coded and created by Kyle Gauder
The purpose of this project was organize a large set of information into an easy-to-digest and explorable tool. In this applet there are 48 different pieces performed by 13 different performers and edited by 7 different editors. Each performer or editor has their own suggested Tempo rating for any given piece. This makes 960 total data points to organize, 624 of which have accompanying music.
The solution was a tool that would automatically build itself with minor tweaking needed no matter how many data points were inserted. All this information is then accessed through a piano-esque menu intuitive with the corpus.

Development of this tool was funded by an NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award Grant. Special thanks to Marsha Natadiria for crosschecking data for errors and collecting information on all performers and editors (and running participants)
