Solution Components

Solution components are the parts of a solution. If you open the solution in UI, you see the components inside. If you open solution in .xml, you can see them in <RootComponents> element.

If you remember solution layering concept, it's important to acknowledge that there's not one layer per managed solution, but actually one layer per managed component.
