(Created from Resolve Infraspecies spreadsheet notes before import. #114)
There are some cases of taxonomy that can't currently be entered into the Taxonomy field in the DigiApp, and are therefore written in the notes field for now. These cases are mostly Hybrids, abbreviations like cf. or aff. and s.l. / s.s., but also uncertain determinations with questionmarks ("Doronicum sp. Orientale/plantagineum? Evt. D. p. var. excelsum N. E. Brown? (Se Karlsson 1885)".
Since there is currently no solution for these issues yet, but we need to continue importing data, there will be a large amount of these comments in the remarks field in Specify.
We need to develop a protocol for going through these cases, finding solutions and then integrating them into the taxonomy and removing them from the remarks field.
This should happen in cooperation with Jens Soelberg.
