Issue: The 'currently selected course' state appears to be tab-specific.

Reproduce: If you open the main page, select a course, then go to the course landing page and open the comments in new tabs, those tabs are no longer associated with the instance of the course and so there's no comments.

Expected behaviour: When you open a new tab from within a selected course, that tab has the same currently selected course.
