@Tumbili Please try this and see if that works without your continue statement in the sensors app.

@LorenzMeier This works, there is not timeout and thus the gyro is not switched.

Ok - so I'm merging this as a stopgap measure, but I need to fix the root problem of the launch thread returning prematurely.
