We should use Prometheus for monitoring the Kubernetes deployment.

  • Base monitoring platform
  • Enable alert notifications
  • Monitoring for different components (exporters, graphs and alerts):
    • PostgreSQL
    • MongoDB
    • Kafka
    • ZooKeeper
    • HDFS
    • Nginx
    • Radar Apps

Prometheus isn't used extensively and out of the box monitoring have been enough so far.
