This reverts commit f8929f7. The commit is kept in branch rm_md5_term_hash
repoening this as we reverted the commit for 4.1.2, should be closed in 5.x.x according to http://semver.org |

They have been deprecated now - leave them in for next release after 3.2.3, then remove (if noone complains)
