Due to bug libvlc 2.2.x could not be used as is outside VLC.app on Mac OS X

As workaround you should use slightly modified VLC tree. It's available to download as part of WebChimera.js prebuilt for Mac OS X on releases page as WebChimera.js_*_VLC_*_x64_osx.tar.gz
