Im running this on a Raspberry pi 5 with Pi OS lite. 125 GB of storage and 8 Gb of ram with a touch display 1024x600.
When starting vtpos or vtrun I get Unable to find jump target (-1, 5) for Server.

ok I got to run the vtpos on a display with 1920x1080 and got in. now I'm trying to connect a android device. I tried three different android devices one tabled and two phones each with 1920x1080 displays and I keep getting this error: TermError: Can't load font '-adobe-times-medium-r-normal--20--iso8859-1' on display '192.xx.x.xx:0' Even trying to set the export to the devices didn't work. I'm using viewtouch-1.20.48.apk

Hopefully the war ends soon. I have found a work around using XServer XSDL and can now add android displays to the viewtouch. I currently have two displays set up and are working amazingly. Now just waiting to get the All-in-One AIO-CM5-156 to use the bootable image for raspberry pie. I got Viewtouch to work on my pi 5 but got a lot of erros and the program crashes because some missing files. I probably built the software incorrectly. Thanks you

I would appreciate it if you would explain precisely, in detail, what you did in your workaround to get Pelya's XServer XSDL to work for you.

I would also appreciate it if everyone would obtain the All-in-One from me through the ViewTouch Web Site. There are several things which will not work as well if the All-in-One is ordered directly from ChipSee.

Step-by-Step Guide to Set Up XServer XSDL:

  • Download and Install XServer XSDL:

  • Visit the download link: XServer XSDL APK.

  • Download and install the app on your device.

Initial Launch:

  • Open the app after installation.

  • Close the app immediately after it opens, then reopen it.

Access Configuration Options:

  • On the second launch, the Change Device Configuration option will appear.

  • Tap this option to proceed.

Install Additional Fonts:

  • Navigate to the Downloads section in the app.

  • Check the box to Install Additional Fonts and tap OK.

Calibrate Touchscreen:

  • Go to Mouse Emulation and select Calibrate Touchscreen.

  • Follow the instructions to calibrate:

  • Slide your finger across the screen from edge to edge until the screen is completely covered.

  • Once done, press the Back button on your tablet to confirm.

Set Mouse Emulation Mode:

  • Go back to Mouse Emulation Mode.

  • Select Large (tablets).

  • Tap OK, and then OK again.

Wait for Additional Fonts to Install:

  • Wait until the installation of additional fonts is complete.

  • Once done, close the app.

Reopen the App:

  • Open the app again.

  • Wait for a countdown to appear.

  • Tap the screen before the countdown reaches zero.

Set Display Resolution:

  • On the bottom right, tap Custom.

  • If your tablet’s native display resolution is 1920x1080, you can simply tap 1920x1080.

Otherwise:

  • Enter 1920 and tap Enter.

  • Then enter 1080 and tap Enter again.

Choose DPI:

  • A new screen will load.

  • Select the DPI setting that best fits your tablet.

  • X0.5 worked best for my setup.

Configure Settings:

  • On the next screen, adjust the following settings:

  • Keyboard: System

  • CTRL/ALT/Shift overlay: NO

  • Display Number: Set it to any number you prefer.

  • PulseAudio: YES

Finalize Setup:

After configuring the settings to your preference, tap OKAY to save.
You are now ready to use XServer XSDL.
