Getting started: open-climate-datathon

  1. Click on this link for discord self invite. If you don't already have a discord account... after clicking on verify, come back to this original link and click again to get into the channel.

  2. CoMakery - Open Climate Datathon : For this prompt there are no actionable tasks made. If you are interested in working on this meet with Steven Ettinger at the Los Angeles node or find him on discord. We're interested in knowing what skills are available.

  3. Github repo for all code commits

Use the Open Climate Portal to register and upload open data from trusted sources about your relevant subnational and non-state actors that you are part of (eg. your city, state, company or organization), such as their pledges and emissions. Verify data by signing it as the upload author, and verify other user profiles. You will be crowd-sourcing the open climate platform’s database testing its consensus filters. Read the full details here..

To accomplish this we will be making an API to our development blockchain as well as some UI for the end users.

Much more domain specific information can be found here on the gitbook
