version 1.6.2

removed "experimental" from the Points Leaderboard name
The points leaderboard and segment results settings pages will now show a sample of the scores based on the input you give it so you can validate that it behaves the way you expect before racing. The sample will show along the right hand side of the window.
Score formats for the points leaderboard and segment results can now be in MATLAB colon notation (ie. 20👎1 is the same as 20..1 or 20:-2:1 would be the same as 20..1 with a step of -2)
the Route Preview window now has an option to choose an event and pen and it will automatically select the route and if applicable the number of laps or custom distance.

ver 1.5.5

version 1.5.5

  • Add options to highlight teammates and marked riders in the segments results window (multi-lap only)
  • If "After Last Segment Show Final KM" is enabled under the Segment Zoom options, and "Only When Within Approach Distance" is also enabled, the final KM zoom will only activate when you are within the final KM + approach distance.
  • Add option to zoom to the remaining route (up to the final KM)

The (still experimental) Points Leaderboard window has a lot more options.

  • Configure FTS/FAL per segment
  • Enable/disable individual segments
  • set score formats for each of FTS, FAL and FIN
  • show scores for each of FTS, FAL and FIN or just total points
  • highlight teammates and/or marked riders
  • When you go to the options, you will have a list of events. If you are currently in an event, it will default to that one. Otherwise, if you have an upcoming (in the next hour) it will default to that. After selecting the event, choose the pen and it will show you the segments on the route. You can pre-configure an event - ie. while doing your warmup you can configure the event and even if you restart Sauce it will save the config (I hope...)
  • The score formats for FTS, FAL and FIN can be set individually. There are no defaults so you must set something if you want that format scored. If you leave it blank, it won't show in the results.
  • For now, YOU MUST CLICK THE SAVE BUTTON FOR ANYTHING TO SAVE!! I realize this goes against the bahaviour of all other windows. I'll change this in the future.
  • It's really hard to validate how accurate this is since just about every race has people that aren't registered in Zwiftpower so I can't compare. I did find a small race this morning that all 5 racers were in ZP and it matched up perfectly so I'm somewhat optimistic.
  • Still to do: more scoring options such as the ZRL podium bonus or scoring that decrements points per rider by more than 1 (any other formats that you know of, let me know)

v1.5.4

  • fixes a broken powerup image in races with assigned powerups at banners
  • segment results do an additional verification on who is in a race to try to avoid results from other pens appearing
  • adds a new experimental points leaderboard window. It can be configured to score either FTS or FAL points (create two windows if you want both). The default score format is top 10 with 10 points for first, down to 1 for 10th but it can be defined in the options. Examples of valid ways to score are:
  • 20..1 (20 for first, 1 for 20th)
  • 10,8,6,4,2 (10 for first, 2 for 5th)
  • a combination such as 20,15,10,9..1 (20 for first, 15 for 2nd, 10 for 3rd then 9 down to 1 from there

Take the scores from the points leaderboard with a giant grain of salt, it could be very wrong.

v1.5.1

version 1.5.1 - probably still a big experimental but it seems to be working well for me. There aren't many visible changes in this release but under the hood it is doing a lot of work to clean up route data for better accuracy. There are a lot of routes that have gaps in the data from Zwift and as a result the route profile and maps cut corners (Neokyo is really bad for this) which can result in incorrect distance predictions to segments and finishes. The screenshots are a before/after for Innsbruckring showing the corner cutting. So what I've attempted to do is realign the data to close those gaps. Combined with the previous version that figures out where the invisible start line is coming out of the pens, this gives a much better prediction of distance to segments and the finish. Over longer events, it still tends to drift a bit but not nearly as much as before. The primary benefit of all this is probably that in something like Onno's overview mod showing the distance markers for all the segments, they should be more accurate.

Other changes include:

  • smooth out erroneous extreme gradients in the route profile. These would show up as a thin black line when using the Veloviwer'ish colour scheme.
  • trying to ensure that a route always finishes at a banner (Makuri Islands being the exception with it's fake neon banners). New York is really bad for this, almost all the routes that finish at the Central Park banner are way off.
  • having leadin/lap markers always be right at a banner. This helps avoid situations in multi-lap races where your pin would jump to the wrong lap (usually backwards) after crossing the lap banner. It may still occasionally happen but it should be very brief.

v1.3.9

  • In the elevation profile settings, the "Next segment data" option is always available
  • Groups view now works when zoomed in to a distance or segment
  • Fixed the pin sizes when the largest nearby group was only 2 riders
  • The pin for the watched rider's group will always be on the top layer for better visibility. Note this affects the pin itself but the number within it can still overlap. When there are a lot of groups close together, things are still a bit messy.
  • when the watched rider's group isn't the largest group nearby, the pin size is a little bigger for better visibility. ie. if there are two groups of 5, the watched rider's group will be a little bigger.
  • fixes an issue with the groups view when there is only one group nearby (specifically when there were multiple groups that merged into a single group, there were ghost pins that weren't cleaned up).
  • adds a new option to display a line ahead of your pin at a configurable distance

v1.3.7

Choose a tag to compare
  • Route/segment preview windows minor tweaks.
  • fixed the leadins for a bunch of routes in Watopia and Richmond so they start at or near the pen (instead of whatever random location Zwift chose...)
  • added the new routes from Zwift game version 1.71 (10 run routes, 3 cycle routes)
  • fixed an issue where color gradients were wrong when zoomed in and you were approaching the end of a route.
  • added a VERY EXPERIMENTAL groups view to the elevation profile. If enabled, it will display pins for groups rather than individual riders. It is still a work in progress, I know things break if you try to use groups view and anything zoomed in. It can also be very messy and cluttered if there are a lot of groups close together (see screenshot). The size of the pin is proportional to the size of the group, the largest group gets the largest pin and any other groups are scaled accordingly. Your group is noted by whatever color you typically mark your own pin with.

  • When riding a route that Sauce doesn't recognize, switch to road view instead of showing nothing
  • When riding in road view, show segments on the current road. This is an initial attempt at this ability, segments will be shown on the profile but it won't give a distance countdown to it yet. It also doesn't export the data for use by other mods yet.
  • The route preview window shows the distance and elevation for routes in the dropdown list.
  • Added a new window called "Data Grid" - this lets you add any field available from Sauce in a grid layout. Specify the number of data fields that you want and the number of columns and then use the long press to configure each one. So 9 fields with 3 columns will be a 3 x 3 grid or 6 fields with 1 column will be 1 x 6 stacked etc. You can also turn the fields labels and/or the units off if desired (not all units can be turned off, it depends on how Sauce returns the data)
  • Properly show new routes in Watopia
