👋 Thanks for opening your first issue here! If you're reporting a 🐞 bug, please make sure you follow the issue template or I may not respond. |
I'm not quire sure I understand the VLC part. Yes, zmN should be creating its own folder if it doesn't exist. Given you created it manually might have lead to the permissions issue, but the larger question is what is the full workflow and how does VLC come in? |
The VLC was simply to try and test watching the videos that were downloaded as they are H265 encoded. I'm using MJPEG to watch the recordings but on mobile, it's really hard to scrub through an MJPEG recording. VLC was just an example I was using, the more important issue is getting them to download at all.
I only tried to create the folder manually as it was saying the folder did not exist. I deleted it after and it went right back to the ENONET error so I'm not sure how to progress.

okay, I'll spin up an android 10 emulator this weekend and see what is going on. |
Sounds good. If you need help with debugging if this happens to be a device specific issue, I'd happily test it and supply logs and such. |
confirmed - doesn't work in Android 10 |
I have a beta version to test (an apk you'll have to download from my google drive, likely have to delete the one you have installed one), if you'd like to test. Works in my emulator. If you want to test please send me an email. pliablepixels gmail. |
Okay awesome. Downloading now works properly. The only issue is, after "progress 14%" the progress disappears, and doesn't redisplay anything until you exit the event screen. Also double tapping or pressing the back button does not leave the event screen, it requires pressing the red menu circle in the top right, then selecting "exit event view" to escape. After escaping, a pop-up "progress 100%" shows, and then the events refresh. It works, albeit seems to be a bit clunky now. Thanks! |
So I've been using zmNinja for a while, but recently have had some issues with playback of certain events. So I tried to download them to view using something like VLC. Well, this does not work, at least on my device. I've attached the logs, but it doesn't seem to be very helpful.
The error is a file/folder not found, but after creating one (which I'd imagine zmNinja should do on its own), the error switches to a "Permission Denied" error.
zmNinja has storage permissions as checked in 'App Info' and everything else seems to be working correctly.
