That menu button is just too small, and I am used to this gesture in many applications. There is an explicit reason for not having this? (like it would break UX or usability in general)
Keep the menu button (as some users are not used to swiping to access drawer menu), but add this (like in fullscreen montage #185 ).

I remember this causing problems with the swipe feature to switch monitors/events in footage mode, but I'll check again. I agree, it should be enabled if it does not interfere

done - except for full screen live view and event view (they are modals) and timeline view - interferes with graph scroll
