Disable 3D buildings in the basemap style

The streets-v2 layer is "Building 3D". Should we

  1. Write an async function to fetch the basemap style and modify its JSON before returning it?
  2. Have some kind of callback to disable the layer after the main style is done loading?
  3. Directly keep a copy of the streets-v2 style locally and modify it? (if there are more modifications, might make sense)
