Create New Folder Note for Folder in File Explorer

  • click on folder with modifier (ctrl/cmd by default)
  • mid-click on folder
  • right-click on folder and select Create Folder Note option in the context menu

The template for the new folder note can be specified in settings

Make Existing Note Folder Note by Creating New Folder

will create a new folder linked to current note based on your preference

  • use command Make current document folder note when the active note is a regular note
  • select Make Doc Folder Note option in more options menu of opened note
  • right-click on internal links and select Make Doc Folder Note option
  • right-click on note file in file explorer and select Make Doc Folder Note option in the context menu

Link Existing Notes to the Parent Folder

  • use command Link to Parent Folder when the active note is a regular note
  • select Link to Parent Folder option in more options menu of opened note
  • right-click on internal links and select Link to Parent Folder option
  • right-click on note file in file explorer and select Link to Parent Folder option in the context menu
