This is an omnibus tracker for code changes to support addition of processing BUFR surface data. Oh boy.

So, there's thousands of stations in this data feed, but seems like only a small number have wigos* station metadata defined, so we have life choices to make.

  • create a catch-all WMO_BUFR_SRF network to dump these into
  • guess at what the wigos identifier should be, when it is not set.
  • At some point, cross check these against the ASOS discovered wigos id and see what rectifying can be done
