Idea - indicate 'master' in the kit, so we know if people aren't using a release #163

One really useful thing about releases is we can more easily help people who have issues, as we can see what version they're running. However, if they download from master branch, the version currently shows as 2.1.0 even though it isn't the 2.1.0 release.

going to close this in favour of trying to do more regular releases, also the new site makes it much easier to download the latest release rather than master.
