x-spread confusion

new to this alpinejs, help me understand following code:

 trigger: {
                ['@click']() {
                    this.open = true
                },
            },

is that ['@click'] a valid function name?

[sqllyw]

that is adding a property, same as
trigger['@click'] = {}
