This was originally meant to address the problem with the linstats.sh status checks not getting pushed to github anymore, but I'm loathe to spend any more time on troubleshooting that right now. (Github is returning
NotFoundfor the corresponding API request, which looks correct). So this became more about cleaning up minor pydocstyle and mypy issues.I also made a tweak to the pydocstyle commit hook because I was running into conflicts with black.
