hosting.json 👍
Seems consistent with project.json, config.json, packages.json, etc.

I don't fully grasp the purpose and the full reach of the Microsoft.AspNet.Hosting project. I simply think of it as providing the capability to embed a web server and application together. With that said, I was thinking if there is any intention of it ever being an implementation that is swappable then that could maybe provide some guidance to the naming of the file.

If the implementation can be swapped then that may be an argument for (or possibly against) naming it something generic like hosting.json
