Using EJS, Express and Node

This is a simple Pinterest clone built using EJS, Express, and Node.js. It includes functionalities like connecting to the database, authentication using Passport.js, password hashing and salting, sessions and cookies, user profile creation, and image uploading using Multer.

Requirements

Installation

Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/avyaanverma/pinterest-clone

Navigate to the project directory:

cd pinterest-clone

Install dependencies:

npm install 

Usage

Start the application:

npm start

Visit http://localhost:3000 in your browser.

Database Configuration

Ensure you have MongoDB installed and running. Update the config/database.js file with your MongoDB connection details.

Password Hashing and Salting

Use bcrypt for password hashing and salting in the user model:
