Use js-yaml for now, as in https://code.visualstudio.com/api/language-extensions/syntax-highlight-guide The only differences in the resulting JSON are whitespace
Is this used for something in VS Code?
$schema does not work on YAML. I also added YAML associations for the TextMate grammar schema on the JSON Schema Store. See SchemaStore/schemastore#3313
