The palette toggling is rarely used and seen as a bug rather than a feature, if discovered (cf. this issue).

Related to the general UX improvements we are going to hide the toggle in expanded state.

Users should still be able to toggle the palette via API or un-hide the toggle by overriding the diagram-js.css stylesheet accordingly.
