Question: Possibility of setting background image of individual bars

Was wondering if it would or even if it is possible to set the background of each individual bar in a bar chart it is possible to do things like the screenshot below?

We've discussed this functionality, and it's not far off. v2.0-alpha4 gets the closest to this by allowing you to defined different colors per bars or points in a datas series. I'll look into this more.
