Yes, thank you. After all, I now think we are a few months away from release osx-arm64 support here. So no rush. We should do it properly, better late than broken

I also will want to do extensive local testing (I have osx-arm64 and osx-64). But ... let's focus on other issues first.

I think we should move this testing to the dev branch actually. Thoughts?

Well we should be able to get this to work on the 1.7 branch to work in some capacity given that upstream supports this platform at some level.
