Features

  • New supported image formats TIFF and GeoTIFF
  • New option to set identifier prefixes per category

Changes

  • New categories are now available:
    • New supercategories "FeatureGroup", "FeatureSegment" and "FindCollection"
    • New Operation subcategory "ExcavationArea"
    • New Image subcategories "PlanDrawing" and "FindDrawing"
  • Subcategories of category "Type" can now be created
  • Categories "Inscription" and "Sample" can now be created in operations of all categories
  • New common fields "webGisId", "shortDescriptionAddendum" and "phase" are now available
  • New configuration template "archaeoDox" and corresponding forms are now available (please contact [email protected] for any questions or comments)
  • Display versions are now automatically generated for large images to improve performance on map and in image viewer
  • Images with up to 2500000000 pixels can now be imported
  • Improved loading behavior in image viewer
  • The field "Short name" of project properties is now used as the project name and shown in the taskbar
  • Project identifier and project name can now be entered separately in the project creation modal
  • Increased character limit for project identifier to 30 characters
  • Set character limit for project name to 50 characters
  • Unconfigured fields can now optionally be ignored during import (otherwise, an error message appears if unconfigured fields are found in the import file)
  • Values can now be selected from a dropdown list in list view (if a valuelist is configured for field "Short description")
  • Cyrillic characters are now allowed in names of project-specific fields, groups, categories and valuelists
  • Field specific search can now be enabled for all fields with compatible input types (except "Short description" which is always included in fulltext search)
  • Leading and trailing whitespace is now automatically removed from multi-language text fields

Bugfixes

  • Fixed switching images via arrow keys in image viewer
  • Fixed a bug where indexing would fail for multi-language fields of input type "Single line text with multiple selection"
  • Fixed field specific search for single-language fields of input type "Single line text" or "Single line text with multiple selection"
  • Fixed a bug where the conflict resolver would not show the differing fields in some cases
  • Fixed a bug where not all search results were shown in the "Link images" and "Add map layer" menus
  • Fixed displaying value label for field "Short description" in resources list
  • Fixed a bug where a misleading error message was shown for missing identifiers in import files
  • Fixed a bug where the move and delete options could be accessed for unsaved resources in list view
  • Fixed layout of valuelist editor for valuelists with very long value ids or labels
  • Fixed layout bugs in conflicts list, document picker, multi language input field and language settings

Notes

  • Important: It is recommended to always use the latest version of Field Desktop. When switching back to an older version after installing version 3.2.0, local project data may be removed. It is therefore strongly advised to create backup files for all databases before installing an older version.
