Trying to reuse a much as possible from CRO in the role branch of the Academic Event Ontology , I was asking myself what would be the best parent for the roles that are involved in the organization of academic events and the maintanance of event series. In the 'infrastructure role' (CRO:0000078) branch 'coordination role' (CRO:0000081) and 'project management role' (CRO:0000065) seem to be the best fit.

However 'coordination role' is by its definition limited to the "organization of the different elements needed to implement a study".
Wouldn't it thus be better to rename it to 'study coordination role'?

Another issue I have with understanding 'coordination role' is rooted in the demarcation to 'project management role'. According to Merriam-Webster's definition of coordination - "the process of organizing people or groups so that they work together properly and well" - I have a hard time understanding 'coordination role' to be a sibling and not a child of 'project management role'. After all doesn't the coordination of a study entail the planning, management and monitoring of a study?

If it were to be relabeled to 'study coordination role' and made a child of 'project management role', we could add sibling roles that deal with the coordination/planning/management/monitoring of other projects such as academic events or investigations.

@nicolevasilevsky thank you, that'll be great.
May I suggest, while you're at it, to sharpen the definition of 'project management role' (CRO:0000065) to something along the lines of:
An infrastructure role that inheres in a person or organization responsible for the planning, management, and monitoring of projects.

No objections from me, these seem like good improvements.
