Maybe go resolve the merge conflicts and resolve the reported issues?

As long as there is no maintainer wiling to take a look, I see no need in adding more contributions.
I don't want to add in another effort just for it to be ignored and have it get obsolete as other PRs from other users have previously, hence the irony of this "contributions are welcome".
The only merge conflict is because upstream the versions got bumped, which happens if you never merge or endorse contributions.
