I've got X-Dream running on alternative hardware, but the videos are all blue, gray or some other consistent color. What to do? #16

If you have an NVidia GPU, it may simply be a matter of going to the Graphic Settings and adding the TrixterAppRelease.exe app, and set its options to "High Performance":

If this strategy doesn't work for you, there is another option.

There's a DirectX wrapper called dgVoodoo2 that will make these videos display correctly in the application.

Download and extract the archive, and copy all these files to the directory where you have TrixterAppRelease.exe (i.e. don't retain folder structure):

MS\x86\D3D8.dll
MS\x86\D3D9.dll
MS\x86\D3Dlmm.dll
MS\x86\DDraw.dll
dgVoodoo.conf
dgVoodooCpl.exe
