3b. Prerequisites

The deployment package uses about 50M of disk space after extraction. The disk space which will be used by your documents depends on the documents only. For instance, the 20833 product documents from the sample TPoX schema use about 200M (?) of disk space and about 1G of RAM to process them efficiently. The memory allocated for Data servers can be in range of 4..64G or even higher and depends on your needs only. Please note: the bigger memory allocation sizes may cause unpredictable long GC pauses in case of high memory utilization. It is possible to deploy several Bagri Data servers at one physical machine, this can even increase performance in multi-processor multi-core systems when one Data server does not utilize full CPU power of the box it is deployed on.
