I've just updated to the latest version of this integration.

When I install it through the GUI I am presented with this dialog box:

Screenshot 2020-04-24 at 18 51 35

There are no labels for the input box (using English language for UI). First one is for the printer's name I suppose, no clue what the second one should be, IP address?

Integration hpprinter is after update not staring up anymore.
And restarting the list of integratable devices instead of the hpprinter integration page
Integration is because of that not possible anymore

This is not really helping.
You guys do expect that simple people like me understand exactly what to by such a simple command.
No! :-(
At least give some clear instructions what, when, how to do.
What I did:
I did download the github en extracted it.
I did copy the hpprinter directory and replaced mine at the custom_components.
Restarted HA
After that I was still able to integrate HP Printer from the integration page.
But I don't know if I did the right thing to test

First of all please remember that I don't owe you nothing, you want to use it use it, don't want that's fine by me.

If you want report an issue the least is to provide details, if I'm asking you to check it's probably because I've done some fixes and released them on my own personal time and it works for me, so I'm sorry that I asked you to check if it's working for you.

If you still want to check it and see if the issue was not solved and want me to fix it, I meed a feedback, a one that will promote the solution to the issue reportes.

Thanks

I fully understand you owe me nothing.
If you ask for a check it would help to explain how and what.
This is what I did:

I did download this github en extracted it.
I did copy the hpprinter directory and replaced it with mine at the custom_components.
Restarted HA
After that I was still able to integrate HP Printer from the integration page.

That didn't work at the moment I did write this request after update to latest hp printer integration at HACS.
But I don't know if I did the right thing to test/check

Doing this showing I'm willing to check. Not only for me personal, but for the community.
But because i'm not an expert on this, I don't know what to do or if I did the right things to check.

After doing what I tried to check as mentioned and decribed above I did still have the possibility to add a printer at the integration page of HA. This was not possible after upgrade to the latest version.

ok, from the begining.

Labels are working, we are talking about another issue - cannot add new integration.

Is it the first time you are trying to use the component or did it stop working after specific version?
If it's the first time and not working that a total different issue from the one reported above which caused that confusion.

to understand why you can't add integration I need other details to assist you,
Printer model, error message in the UI and logs.

thanks

I do have an HP Envy 5640 printer.
Before the last update of the HP Printer HACS integration (until version: 6184073) every thing did work fine.
I do use the HP Printer integration in an addon of the Dwain Theme, showing the status, amount of prints and scans and the level of the inkt.
After the last update of the HACS printer integration (version: f8b9c98) only the status "idle" was showing and available.
So I checked the HP Printer integration at the settings->Integration page.
It was only showing 2 entities out of 6, before. (I don't know the second one anymore)
So I decided to remove the integration and add it again.
After removing I was not able to install the HP printer anymore pushing the "+" button at the bottom of the integration page. There was no "HP Printer" anymore in de list of available integrations.

That was the problem.
After that I rolled back to the version of HP integration before the update and adding my HP Printer was possible again and everything worked fine again

So even the dialog box as mentioned above was not show up.
This the way I do use the integration:
Knipsel

If you can post the log that would be great to understand the issue

I will try to reproduce the steps you mentioned (delete the custom component and re-add it), maybe something is missing, will update you

Because I did rollback I lost my LOG

I'm not available now for a couple of hours.. Maybe I will try to reproduce the situation tonight again
