As users get used to having keyboard shortcuts, they'll expect to begin to expect to have them everywhere. We should have keyboards shortcuts to position and manipulate elements. This is also great for accessibility purposes.

Below are examples of the functionality I think would make sense to have keyboard shortcuts for as well as constraints when using the mouse. The keys used are from Google slides but I can't seem to find a good set of standards across the main presentation products.

  • Nudge up, down, left, or right [Canvas] Feat: Keyboard shortcuts for nudging elements #39208
    • PC: Arrow keys
    • Mac: Arrow keys

    • PC: Shift + Arrow keys

  • Rotate counterclockwise by 1°
