Steps to reproduce

  1. See spam to moderate
  2. Long tap on a msg to get its sender (as multiple messages get their sender suppressed and you don’t want to keep scrolling)
  3. See the mxid of the sender
  4. Can’t do anything with it
  5. Work around via View Source

Outcome

What did you expect?

At the least, tapping on the sender name in the context menu should take you to their member view

What happened instead?

painful moderation

this is close, but no cigar - if the user has a displayname, this just means you end up copying their displayname whereas what you need is their mxid.

can we link to the member page if you tap on them in the top of the context menu (so we can then apply moderation operations from there, like copying their mxid, or actual moderation buttons once we have them?)

We can of course, but now this will need to go through the product team.
