Feature Request

Description of Problem:

  • Arriving at OSR is a bit baffling. It's not got a good on-ramp.

...please resist the temptation to describe your request in terms of a solution. Job Story form ("When [triggering condition], I want to [motivation/goal], so I can [outcome].") can help ensure you're expressing a problem statement.

Potential Solutions:

A good-looking front page with highly graphical content and visual appeal.
Containing:

  • Meetings: clickable links for the iCal entries for the meetings, and a description of what happens in each one.
  • Who it is for: a description of the problem we're trying to solve, links to the personas
  • Articles: some interesting starter articles (e.g. stuff from resources).
  • BoK: what this is, how it works.
  • Training courses, materials.
  • Call-outs to people setting up OSPOs, maintaining open source in a FS org.
  • Ask the question: do you have an open source program? (this suggests sorting people by maturity level).
  • Testimonials

Reasons People Visit the Site (Products)

have these as links along the top

  1. Compliance (Risks and Regulations). therefore, why this site is important
  2. Training and Certifications
  3. Joining the meetings / SIGs / Blogs can we move the OSR blogs here?
  4. InnerSource
  5. Maturity Model - where am I? / starting an OSPO
  6. Foundations (& Strategy)

hide the left nav for each of these product pages

What / Why / How

For each of these items.

Images

It would be nice to have an image for each article. This could be at the top of each article, maybe as part of the title.

The 6 areas should be clearly shown off on the front page. Gatsby does this:
