When it rains, it pours! We have #84 which also works towards ghc 9 support. I wonder if it makes sense to combine efforts? |

This supersedes my PR. I'll try to get the tests to build and bring up to date with HEAD when I have time. |

Not quite done, lib builds but tests don't. This PR is my first time working with the GHC API; while I did look quite deeply into each change, I may have missed some subtleties.
