Opportunities Vacancies, Vouchers, and Units

Opportunities (called Vacancies in the UI)

Represents a currently available Voucher that can be associated with matches.

Each Opportunity is associated with a Voucher, and is associated with a Unit through that voucher.

Vouchers

Represent a financial commitment to housing. A Voucher is distinct from an Opportunity as it may not be currently available.

A Voucher is associated with a Sub-Program. In order for a Voucher to be available, it must be associated with a Unit. When a client moves in, the actual Unit assigned to the voucher may be changed.

Units

Represent physical housing.

A Unit is a pairing of a building and a name (e.g., an apartment number)
