Does this mean minitar would support the ability to zip up the actual symlink itself (as currently it seems to follow the symlink?) If so this would be a wonderful feature. I'm actually using buildr (which uses minitar) and I'm packing up a zip that needs its actual symlinks preserved.

I believe that was the intention behind this ported issue.
