Description

Azure has released their new version of private dns (still under preview but most of the limitations in the previous iteration are now gone), its not compatible with the old version.

New or Affected Resource(s)

• azurerm_private_dns_zone

Potential Terraform Configuration

resource "azurerm_private_dns_zone" "test" {
  name                = "mydomain.com"
  resource_group_name = "${azurerm_resource_group.test.name}"
}

I can't see the ARM api documentation on the microsoft docs site but I would expect it to show up at some point here:

This has been released in version 1.31.0 of the provider. Please see the Terraform documentation on provider versioning or reach out if you need any assistance upgrading. As an example:
