As an alternative, https://github.com/google/magika seems to be able to detect many different types of source code files. I wonder how many languages it can detect.

This seems to be the full list. Will need to look at at which types I need that it doesn't support.

Magika seems to be missing several languages that I want to support:

  • C++
  • Haskell
  • Clojure
  • TypeScript
