Question: Creating a lot of same single events?

My question:
I am the creator of events: Every thusday evening I have the same single event ("folk-dances"). There are some exceptions like holidays.
(Earlier) I created an event and choosed the repetition (weekly). I saved and I had all events for the whole time. Now I deleted the events on holidays.

Is it possible to change these events to single events? How? And can I edit them as single events?

You can delete or move this event from the holiday to the next day, and the series will not be broken.
You don't need to convert this event to single, so you can update other fields in the root and update the series.

I break the series if you change the recurrence setting. For example if: you change 'Recurrence=Nothing' then you break the serie and this event is converting to single event.

Do I have to change this in every event? But the text above says the contrary!

If you change the root, all events in the series will be updated for the fields that have changed.
If you change other recurrence event (not root), them you only update these fields int this event, the rest of events don't change.

The root event has the ability to update the changed fields in all events of the series.
