Based on this thread https://stackoverflow.com/questions/57410496/using-kiwis-password-reset-through-the-forgot-password-link-displays-500-inte

it looks like email is not configured/misconfigured and confirmation emails fail. However the user is having hard-times getting the traceback logs or these logs are not appearing for some reason.

A troubleshooting command will go a long way here.

There is the mail_debug command in the django_extensions package (available during devel time).

There is also sendtestemail from Django itself.
