This issue is tracked upstream in kiwix/kiwix-js#621 because it also occurs in Kiwix JS.

This bug has been solved by the patch mentioned in kiwix/kiwix-js#628. It will take some time to work its way through to released versions, but it is already available in the NWJS portable app https://github.com/kiwix/kiwix-js-windows/releases/tag/v0.9.9.99N. This issue will remain open until the other apps have been updated.

This is now fixed here and upstream. All published Kiwix JS Windows apps already have the fix.
