At least in Firefox and Edge with the file:// protocol, Kiwix JS freezes for several seconds after picking wikipedia_en_medicine_maxi_2020-05.zim. I noticed this behaviour previously only with IE11 with a previous WikiMed as reported in #594. Now it affects a modern browser too. Strange. It also affects Kiwix JS Windows, which is where I noticed it just now in looking to update the WikiMed app to the latest archive.

This freeze is also occurring with Kiwix JS Windows (Store app), on wikipedia_es_all_mini_2020-06.zim. The same ZIM does not prove problematic for Kiwix JS (master) on Chromium. However, Kiwix JS on Chromium (Edge) running from https:// still freezes for a substantial amount of time on opening wikipedia_en_medicine_maxi_2020-05.zim. I still think this is an issue with the ZIMs. I haven't had time to debug. It's a bit mysterious.

Freeze also occurs with Firefox on wikipedia_en_medicine_maxi_2020-06.zim both with file:// protocol and https://.
The same ZIM is much faster to load on Edge Chromium, though a very slight freeze is noticeable.
Curiouser and curiouser.
