Basic Usage
You can download AwesomeBump here.
If you want the latest and greatest, you will need to compile AwesomeBump. See this PDF for details.
It is recommended to have a graphics card that supports OpenGL 4.0. An OpenGL 3.3 fallback is also available, if your hardware doesn't suport OpenGL 4.0.
Run the binary (on Windows it's AwesomeBump.exe
). You will see a window with lots of options pop up, similar to this:
The left pane contains the settings. It is where you can set the program's global configuration.
The middle pane contains the 3D preview. You can configure it by clicking 3D Settings.
The right pane contains the 2D preview. You can pan over it by holding the left mouse button.
Last but not least, you can toggle visibility of the toolbar at top by clicking Main toolbar.
Click on the vertical tab called Diffuse. Then click on the floppy disk icon at the top left, then load your texture.
Check Enable preview in the Basemap to others section. Then click Convert to N H.
Click on the floppy disk icon with a paper behind, at the top right of the left pane, to save your images. You can choose the saving format by changing the extension: .png
, .jpg
, and many more are available.
