wnck-applet suddenly stops #1268
Comments
Try mate-panel-1.26.1, it has fixes in this area. |
I am using mate-panel-1.26.1 Manjaro and still buggy. This is from today.
When the bug is, ask me for reload all windows in the inferior panel. |
Got one too(using openrc on Gentoo though), not much to go on:
|
Hi, I have the same problem with Debian mate-panel 1.26.1-2 package:

Hi, I complete my bug report, I have the problem again:

This looks like a duplicate of either #1246 or #1256 which are not the same as each other. Same symptoms, different cause and fix #1256 If you still get the crashes with that applied, then it is a duplicate of |
Hi,
The wnck applet crash seems to be solved in Linux Mint 20.3 Mate, with
Mate desktop 1.26 and Mate panel 1.26.1 (and with Nvidia driver 390.144).
Regards,
MN

Should be fixed with 1b09519 |
This still appears to be an issue. I'm in mate-panel 1.26.2. The annoying issue about this problem is the fact that it shuts down the mate session completely and restarts. All windows, work -- everything is lost. It happens intermittently when resizing mate windows (like Firefox) with the hotkey (ctrl-arrow). Also, this happens intermittently when opening windows in applications from the tray. For instance, in Redshift - select the info button in the tray.
|
Odd that this would kill the whole session. Mate-panel can be restarted with If something else is killing the session that stops the panel and everything else, not impossible the panel or any applet in it could disappear first on a machine of a particular speed. |
Actual behaviour
wnck-applet suddeny and randomly stops
Steps to reproduce the behaviour
