Can you point us to a URL for the page in question? I'm wondering if there is an interaction with the page's CSS. You are correct that this is different from issue #140. Davide |
Wow! what an impressively quick response. mathisasport.com is a website I run for my algebra 1 and AP Calculus Login as [email protected] with a password of "1" (this is just then click on the "Chapter 1: Pre-Algebra review link," At any rate you will come to several problems that have sqrt in them or Any help would be appreciated.

OK, thanks. These pages work fine for me. I'm wondering if you are using OS X Lion (OS X 10.7)? This version comes with a copy of the STIX fonts, but it turns out that they don't work properly with the version of WebKit that comes with 10.7, and this causes problems for MathJax. Try using FontBook to disable the STIX fonts (you will need to disable all of them), and see if that improves the situation for you. If that works, you can disable STIX fonts using the If that doesn't work, I'll look further. Davide |
Thanks so much yet again. I am in fact using Lion. It is just as you You have gone above and beyond, Davide, and I am not sure how to thank you

(Apologize in advance if I'm posting in the wrong place, but I think this is a different issue than #140, which also involves overline.)
I have been working with MathJax and have a browser problem to report with the LateX \overline macro. I have a webpage which makes use of this, and it renders fine in firefox, renders but not at the proper height in chrome, and is completely invisible in safari. I searched on overline and no one else seems to have reported this. I also note that this is the case (as described above for each of the browsers) for \sqrt, which (perhaps?) invokes \overline.
