Microsoft PowerToys version

0.59

Running as admin

  • Yes

Area(s) with issue?

Installer

Steps to reproduce

Install v.59 from within PT
install finishes
settings page shows v0.59
but also displays big pink box, says "An error occurred trying to install this update:"
followed by button "Try again to download and install"
clicking the button results in a quick, 3-5 seconds, 'download' spinner,
then all is as before

✔️ Expected Behavior

Smooth error-free install

❌ Actual Behavior

As detailed above.
Testing indicates no troubles with the modules I use, principally Power Rename and Resizer.
In fact, this version corrects the input problem I've had Rename in the previous two or three builds.

So, an error allegedly occurred, but there seems no problems.

Other Software

No response

Yes! I have the same problem. I went to the Microsoft Store app and reinstalled the PowerToys app (without uninstalling it), and the issue persists. I wanted to uninstall and reinstall, but I realized I can't export or backup the settings.
