Attempts to download any artists image posts causes gallery-dl to stall out at the end of the first page.
This prevents the downloading of other links that are on the list.
Also if a single post has more than one image only the first image is downloaded.

I am currently using the standalone executable, as I don't have any experience with python.
I am not a coder, so I don't know what information I could give to help you out.

Thanks for reporting this.
This bug was introduced in 220c06b over two weeks ago and went unnoticed because there weren't any tests (until now: d6facde). e749402 now fixes the issue of it getting stuck on the first page

Also if a single post has more than one image only the first image is downloaded.

It definitely downloads all images from multi-image posts, at least with the default filename settings. Did you change them? Could you post a concrete example of a post were this does happen for you?

I am currently using the standalone executable, as I don't have any experience with python.

You don't need any experience for that. Just download the Windows installer from https://www.python.org/downloads/release/python-382/ (direct link), install with the default settings, and follow the installation instructions in the README.
