Notes App with Chatbot Integration

This project is a Notes App that allows users to store and retrieve notes using a chatbot interface. The app is built with FastAPI for the backend, MongoDB for data storage, and Rasa for the chatbot functionality. It also uses FAISS for semantic search to retrieve notes based on natural language queries.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

• Python 3.10+
• MongoDB
• Rasa

Installation

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/ntancardoso/notes-chat.git
   cd notes-chat
   

2. Create a virtual environment and install dependencies:

   pip install -r requirements.txt
   

3. Set up environment variables: Create a .env file in the root directory. You can copy from .env.sample

4. Start the FastAPI backend:

   uvicorn backend.main:app --reload
   

5. Start the Rasa server:

   rasa run --enable-api
   

6. Start the Rasa action server:

   rasa run actions
   

Usage

• Add a Note:

• Search for Notes:

Note: This project is designed for learning and experimentation. For production use, consider adding authentication, error handling, and additional security measures.
